Welcome to the website devoted to the new community of Schaefer Ranch in Dublin California. Schaefer Ranch is currently under construction on the far west boundaries of Dublin, north of interstate 580. The development was approved by the city planning commission in August of 1998. Discovery Homes was the original builder of this community, which had planned 4 different neighborhoods. Due to market changes and reasons beyond our knowledge, parts of the development where sold off to different builders to complete. Standard Pacific Homes and Toll Brothers are selling homes in the two available communities at this time. The development has about 500 acres total with lots to be built on about 140 acres. The number has changed, but currently there are about 407 lots in the developer's tentative plan. There will be parks, ponds, storage water areas, trails, and open space associated with the development. Part of the community has a staging area for the Eastbay Regional Park System.
Shadow Canyon at Schaefer Ranch consists of homes sitting on lots that are up to about 16,000 sq.ft. in size. The homes themselves are anywhere from 3,500 to 4,000 sq.ft.
Silverado was created to modify some of the community that was originally slated to become Shadow Canyon. The neighborhood features single and two story homes that range from 2,450 to 4,010 sq.ft.
Mesa Point at Schaefer Ranch has lot sizes that range from 5,000 to 9,000 sq.ft. The home sizes range from 2,750 to 3,200 sq.ft. This neighborhood features two story and single story floorplans (not very common with new construction in the Tri-Valley area).
The Summit has sold all of its new homes except for one model home. Schaefer Ranch (by Toll Brothers) has many homes available These latest two communities are larger in size and have two stories. They are selling in the $1,100,000+ price range.
